Zoning and Regulatory Information

The Town of Easton is under the jurisdiction of the Marathon County Conservation, Planning and Zoning Department for zoning administration and enforcement.

At this time, the Town of Easton remains under the Old Chapter 17 Marathon County Zoning Code and has not yet adopted the new Chapter 17 zoning ordinance. Marathon County administers and enforces the applicable zoning regulations for the Town.

The Regulatory Programs Division administers the County’s:

  • Comprehensive zoning ordinances
  • Shoreland regulations
  • Floodplain regulations
  • Airport zoning
  • Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (POWTS/septic systems)
  • Mining ordinances
