Garbage and Recycling Pickup
The recycling and garbage pickup is every week on Thursday. All occupied residences are required to have garbage and recycling services. If you do not have pickup services, please call the town at 715-446-3400. The cost of service is placed on your tax bill as a special charge.
Recycling Information
- Do not bag recyclables. Place all recyclable items loosely in your cart.
- Do not place recyclable items in plastic bags.
- Empty, rinse and replace the caps on bottles, jars and containers.
- Flatten cardboard boxes and cut to no larger than 2’ by 2’ squares.
- The following items can be included in your recycling:
- Plastic household bottles, jars and jugs
- Plastic dairy containers and lids
- Plastic produce, bakery and deli containers and lids
- Cardboard and paperboard (food boxes)
- Newspapers and inserts
- Office and school paper
- Envelopes, junk mail and catalogs
- Books and magazines
- Milk, juice and soup paper containers
- Aluminum bottles and cans
- Steel and tin cans
- Glass food and beverage bottles and jars
- The following items should not be included in your recycling:
- Plastic bags, wraps and films
- Drinking glassware
- Ceramics and china
- Window glass
- Mirrors
- Empty paint cans
- Aerosol cans
- Scrap metal, cookware and appliances
- Aluminum pans and foil
- Propane tanks
- Pet food bags
- Tissue paper
- Shredded paper
- Styrofoam
- Motor oil bottles
Dispose of your hazardous household waste safely, in a manner that won't harm the environment. You must schedule an appointment by visiting https://www.marathoncountysolidwaste.org/scheduling or call 715-344-8198 to drop off hazardous items. Please schedule an appointment at least one day in advance. No appointments can be made on Saturdays. The Town of Easton prohibits the littering of solid waste or hazardous waste by any person on any public or private land in the Town of Easton.
Our contractor Harter’s, can also provide for removal of other items i.e.: Appliances, electronics, furniture, tires, batteries, etc. Please call them direct at 715-253-2619. There may be an additional cost.
